Specialist care for every stage of a woman's health.

Positive Health - Final5.png

Women's health is rarely straightforward.

Conditions overlap, symptoms shift, and the answers aren't always where you expect to find them. My practice has been built around that complexity - working with women at every stage, from fertility through to menopause, and bringing the same thorough, investigative approach to each one.

Fertility
(Natural & Assisted)

Fertility is my primary specialism — the area in which I've focused the majority of my career.

I work with women and couples navigating a wide range of complex fertility challenges, including recurrent miscarriage, recurrent implantation failure, endometriosis, adenomyosis, PMOS, reproductive immunology issues,  and chronic infection. Many of my clients have been trying to conceive for several years by the time we meet, often having been through rounds of fertility treatment with no clear answers as to why things haven't worked in their favour.

Your first appointment begins with a detailed consultation. I review all testing completed to date, identify what's still missing, and map out a clear plan, including any investigations I believe should happen before treatment begins. Gathering the full picture can take some time, but it's that groundwork that makes the difference.

I work closely alongside fertility clinics, consultants, practitioners, and nutritionists, referring clients to the right specialists at the right time. Treatment typically combines acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, adjusted regularly as required.

Pregnancy

Acupuncture and herbal medicine offer gentle, effective support throughout every trimester, working with your body's natural physiology as it changes.

Treatment is commonly used to ease nausea and vomiting, support energy and digestion, calm anxiety, and improve sleep — alongside managing symptoms such as constipation, headaches, pelvic pain, and lower back discomfort.

As your due date approaches, acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine work together to prepare your body for labour. This combined approach is well-recognised for helping to soften and ripen the cervix, gently open and align the pelvic girdle, and encourage your baby into an optimal position — including specific, well-established techniques to help turn breech babies. Rather than forcing the body into readiness, treatment works with your physiology, supporting the natural processes that lead to a smoother, more efficient labour.

Perimenopause

Perimenopause is the gradual transition leading up to menopause — a stage where hormone levels, particularly oestrogen and progesterone, begin to shift and fluctuate.

It's a completely natural process, but that doesn't make it any easier to live through. Symptoms can feel scattered and unpredictable, which is often what makes this stage so hard to recognise, let alone explain to others. Many of my clients come to me first looking for help with hormonal balance, without realising that perimenopause is what's actually behind what they're feeling. It's often through a deeper conversation, piecing the symptoms together, that the picture starts to become clear.

Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine work particularly well when started early in this stage. Treatment helps to stabilise the body's regulatory systems before symptoms become more entrenched, easing irregular or heavy bleeding, anxiety, sleep disturbances, mood changes, migraines, hot flushes, and brain fog. It also has a preventative role, helping to buffer the transition into menopause itself. My aim is for every woman I work with to feel informed, supported, and in control as she moves through this often misunderstood stage of life — not just managing it, but genuinely understanding what her body is doing and why.

Menopause

Everyone's experience of menopause is different.

For some it's sleep disruption; for others, anxiety, hot flushes, night sweats, joint pain — or a combination of all of these. Treatment is guided around what you're actually experiencing. There is no standard protocol.

Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine support this stage by enhancing thermoregulation, calming the nervous system, supporting circulation and cellular repair, and improving sleep and mood. Taking a whole-system approach means treatment doesn't just ease the symptoms in front of us — it supports long-term health too, including bone density, cardiovascular wellbeing, and metabolic balance, offering a genuine pathway to feeling well beyond the reproductive years

Male Fertility

Male fertility carries equal weight in my practice — it is never the overlooked half of the conversation.

Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine are effective when it comes to treating conditions including varicoceles, low sperm count, poor motility, reduced concentration, suboptimal morphology, and chronic or recurrent infections, with every case informed by testing where available — semen analysis, hormone panels, DNA fragmentation results, and ultrasound findings — so treatment is precisely targeted rather than generalised. It's a rigorous, evidence-informed approach to male reproductive health, not an afterthought.
