Case 1
Endometriosis, Chronic Pain & Infertility — S.M.
"I'd been trying to conceive for five years when I finally found my way to Chinese medicine. I was 34, diagnosed with grade 3 endometriosis, and honestly, I was running out of hope."
The pain was constant—flaring badly around my period but never really leaving. My cycles were horrendous: flooding so heavy I couldn't leave the house, random mid-cycle bleeding, and exhaustion that made everything feel like a struggle.
On top of that, I kept getting UTIs that antibiotics would clear for a few weeks before they came back, and my digestion was a mess—constipation had just become part of my normal. I'd tried everything I could think of. Supplements, diet changes, endless appointments. Nothing was shifting it, and I couldn't see a way forward.
I went to Julie not really knowing what to expect, a friend recommended her to me. From the first session, I left feeling like there was hope for me. I had regular acupuncture and took herbal medicine daily. Within a few weeks, my pain had noticeably reduced. By the second month, the flooding had lessened, and my periods were lighter—manageable, even—and the mid-cycle bleeding had stopped completely.
My bowels regulated, my energy came back, and I forgot what it felt like not to have pain on a daily basis. After four months of treatment, I fell pregnant naturally. I couldn’t quite believe it. After five years of nothing working, my body finally did what I'd been hoping for all along.
I'm so grateful to Julie for her expertise, her patience, and for never giving up on me when I'd almost given up on myself.
